MicSwitch (“the App”) is a macOS utility that lets you view and switch your system’s audio input (microphone) device from the menu bar. This privacy policy describes how the App handles your information.

1. Microphone access

To list and switch microphone devices, the App requests microphone access from macOS. The App uses this access only to:

Enumerate available audio input devices
Switch the system’s current input device when you choose one in the App
Display and adjust input volume for the current device (optional)

The App does not record, store, or transmit any audio. No sound or voice data is captured or sent anywhere.

2. Data collection

The App does not collect, store, or share any personal data. It does not use analytics, advertising, or third‑party SDKs. All processing happens locally on your Mac.

3. Data storage

Any preferences (for example, language or login-item settings) are stored only on your device in standard macOS locations. Nothing is uploaded to our servers because the App has no server component.

4. Children’s privacy

The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children.

5. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will be revised when changes are made. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
